Patrick Zuniga – Educator, Consultant, Humanist

Innovators of Washington

Patrick Zuniga

Patrick Zuniga has earned diplomas from three different universities, and he has helped coach football teams who have won state championships, but he says the greatest thing he has ever received was “more time.”

In 2016, he was given a clean bill of health after spending several weeks in the hospital due to health complications. Since then, his personal passion has become helping others recognize the joy of rising above expectations and overcoming the limitations that have negatively impacted how the person views their potential.

In 2017, Patrick founded My Mind My Power to share his experiences through transformative leadership. He has used his knowledge, skills, and experience as a veteran educator to create empowerment-based learning experiences to overcome organizational challenges. Additionally, Patrick loves to collaborate with individuals and small groups who are dedicated to assisting others through self-empowerment.

Patrick has often discussed the importance of raising one’s self-awareness about personal roadblocks and has volunteered in the community to assist with overcoming difficulties. He often speaks of the power of collaboration, innovation, and self-actualization as keys to shared overcoming these challenges.

Patrick currently teaches 7th-grade humanities and is a doctoral student at Creighton University where he is studying interdisciplinary leadership while completing his thesis. He is projected to finish sometime in 2022-2023
