Patrick’s Biography

I’ve earned a BA, History from Washington State University and hold a Washington State Professional Teaching Certificate. I have a Master’s in Teaching from Grand Canyon University and a Master’s in Science of Education from the University of Kansas. I am still attending Creighton University. I have researched self-determination in learning, effective learning environments, and critical thinking in the classroom among several other concepts related to teaching and learning.

I have taught in Washington State only and have been in the classroom from 2000 to 2013 and 2016 to Present.  Patrick has also developed a curriculum called “Thinking Tasks” with nearly 300 critical thinking instructional stems that can be used independently or in most instructional settings (home school, charter, private, or public).  More can be found at  https://www.patzuniga.com/
